Hello, I'm the Doctor, so basically... RUN!!!

Today, I'm going to talk about one of my favorite pastimes, running. What's so special and fun about getting off the couch and heading outdoors to sweat your adipose off? Well, if you are nerdy and love being geeky like me, then having an exercise program based around one of your favorite fandoms, well that makes it fun!
While running is a means to lose weight, get healthy, or have an easy exercise routine (no major equipment required) some people actually love to run. We train for special events like a 5k (3.1 miles), a 10k (6.2 miles), or maybe we are training for a half marathon (13.1 miles) and work our way to the marathon (26.2 miles). One secret that runners know is that for events they earn a running medal for finishing a race (called bling) and while we all want to collect those special blingy medals to add to their collection, because trust me a runner can't have just one it's rather addicting. But back to the fandoms Doctor Who is one of my favorites as i'm sure a lot of you can relate so I'm introducing our Whovian Running Club designed as a virtual running club (we can reach a greater audience that way) we offer medals designed solely for our love for all things Doctor Who related.

Check out their Facebook page at Whovian Running Club to find out all the latest information, connect with other fantastic companions, even sign up for a virtual running event. The running club is almost at the end of our very first event the Gallifrey 10k, runners have less than a few days left to sign up for this amazingly gorgeous medal that will eventually be a set of 4. All of the events will help support a charity and these Gallifreyan events will help support SOS GALGOS rescuing Spanish Greyhounds. Here's a look at the first medal, get it while you still can:
And remember to Run! or walk, that's the beauty of virtual running its all "wibbly wobbly, timey wimey" run as you can, wherever you are.

Get Inspired!

As a hobby artist I think its fantastic that Adult Coloring Books are really popular right now. I'm able to feed my art obsession and explore my creative side (which as a logic accountant it is sometimes locked away!) I love reviewing products, and I have been lucky to be able to get things from Amazon like coloring books, pencils, watercolor pencils, and even gel pens. But one of the most awesome products I've been able to get my hands on is this fantastic Creative Journaling Bible called Inspire from Tyndale Publishers. This is the New Living Translation which my church uses and its a really easy to read and understand translation of the Bible. So what is a creative journaling bible? Its basically a Bible that you get to color and get creative. With over 400 pages to personalize and doodle and color you can truly put your mark and creativity and basically get inspired while studying the Word. Coloring is already a relaxing hobby but add in the peaceful verses and you can have that true peace and it is a fantastic way to wind down after a long day with a toddler or stressful job. There are several places to find this Bible and there are 4 different kinds, it comes in paperback (which is kind of misleading its a really fantasticly strong paper cover), hardback in both small and large print, and the one shown is a leatherlike cover. I looked at this in Barnes and Noble which carries all 4 types as well as a couple different translations in creative journaling Bibles. But its available online through Amazon.com and one of my favorite places to find Bibles and supplemental books is Christianbook.com look for specials and deals because this is quickly becoming my favorite Bible I have ever owned, check it out!
